Hi,

I want to encrypt the group password, does hazelcast support it?

I don’t mean to encrypt my password and then programmatically set the config object to the hazelcast instance (as suggested on google searches)-> this will just put the encrypted string, if someone get this string he can join the cluster without knowing my key. I mean that when hazelcast is loading the configuration it will decrypt the password before using it.

Thanks

Ortal.

Hi Ortal;

It is not supported. Indeed group name and password's main purpose is to separate your clusters in a simple way; it is something weak to be use for security.

For security either you ensure it in network level (network isolated to hazelcast cluster) or use hazelcast security module but it is included in enterprise version.
