How to set outbound port for Hazelcast Java Client

I don't understand how to set the outbound port for Hazelcast Java Client (hazelcast-client-new-3.5.1.jar) ?

Hi Ole,

the outgoing port on a client side is selected by your operating system from ephemeral range. See this for details: http://www.ncftp.com/ncftpd/doc/misc/ephemeral_ports.html

I understand. So there is no way of setting the outbound port explicitly as in the server config: com.hazelcast.config.NetworkConfig.setOutboundPorts() ?

I'm afraid there is no such option in ClientNetworkConfig. May I kindly ask you to create a feature request in a form of GitHub ticket?

Good news is this is added in 3.9, please see the Outpound Ports section for clients: http://docs.hazelcast.org/docs/latest-development/manual/html/Hazelcast_Clients/Java_Client/Configuration/Client_Network.html

java client (com.hazelcast.client.config.ClientNetworkConfig ) has this option as you say...

But I can not see it .Net client (Hazelcast.Config.ClientNetworkConfig) ?

Yes, it might be missing in .net client for now. If so, can you please create a github issue in .net client repo?
