To start blending colors in Pixlr, first, navigate to the Pixlr website ( ) and choose "Pixlr E" for a more advanced editing experience. Click "Open Image" to import the two images you want to blend. You can also create a new canvas by clicking "Create new" and then importing your images as layers.
Select the top image layer in the "Layers" panel. Adjust the opacity of this layer by moving the "Opacity" slider to the left, making the top image more transparent and revealing the image underneath. Experiment with different opacity levels until you achieve your desired blend effect.
For a more advanced blend, try applying a blend mode to the top layer. Click on the "Blend Mode" dropdown menu in the "Layers" panel and choose one of the available options (e.g., Multiply, Screen, Overlay). I'm amazed at how bad all the photoshop and related apps have been to use so far. I don't want something that takes guesses on what I'm trying to select, so if I want the ear in there it adds half the background. I'm using a stylus, I can get exact, but I can't find an app that supports it.
So far the best combo I've found is to use the photo editing directly in Samsung's Gallery to make a cut out, then put it into Photoshop Mix to combine layers, but despite Samsung's being the closest to exact I've found it's still not exact, and the blending tools in Photoshop suck. So my best bet is to make a bunch of snippets with the Gallery and then blend in the PS app from there, but this just ends up being a way longer process than seems necessary, and the end result is still pretty bad.
Edit: I tried literally all of the Adobe apps in the Google store, and Adobe Photoshop Mix is the closest to matching my goals I've found. I also tried out the various alternatives that were reccomended when searching similar keywords, like Snapseed, VSCO, etc, but they're all focused on adjusting colors/etc in photos, not creating convincing superimposed images.
