We are in the process of updating the Neighbourhood Plan.  The Forum’s Transport Working Group has prepared a first draft of the transport section of the plan.   This, along with the rest of the Plan will go out to formal consultation early next year once it has been approved by the Forum's Steering Committee, but in order to consult you at an earlier stage we wish to run a community consultation exercise specifically on transport.

We want this plan to work for everyone who lives, works, shops, or studies in our area.  We are therefore holding a workshop at 7pm to 9pm on Tuesday 16th June at Woodstock Road Baptist Church, to discuss the plan and to get your views and input on what is right and what needs to change.

The doors will be open from 6.30pm onwards
and refreshments will be available.
We look forward to seeing you.

SUFFOLK HOUSE DEVELOPMENT

Back in March you may recall that the owner and developer of the Suffolk House site on the south corner of South Parade and Banbury Road provided an exhibition of their intended development to provide accommodation for 150 students located on 3 floors above new ground floor retail provision.   The Forum planning group has submitted a written response which you can read here, and we are in discussion with Oxford Civic Society and Oxford Preservation Trust who have also expressed concerns.  We also hope to meet with the agents for the development, Carter Jonas. As yet no planning application has been published by the City Council, at which point the Forum will make a written submission on behalf of the community.  So please write to us with your views and ideas.  We will post any further information on our website as it becomes available.

We look forward to hearing from you.
