Rise above the doom and gloom ...

Hello neighbours. Rainfall may have reached apocalyptic levels, and corrupt public figures are crawling out of the woodwork on both sides of the Atlantic, but it's not all doom and gloom. Come and join other Hayfielders tomorrow evening (Wednesday 11th) for a drink and a cheerful chat at The Anchor from 6 pm to 7 pm-ish. I have booked the table in the conservatory (an adjunct to the main dining area). Everyone will be very welcome. It's a good way to meet new neighbours, keep in touch with local news, and support the pub.
