We’ve
passed imbolc, winter is
moving towards spring, and
snowdrops are carpeting the
ground. It must be February
already!
The Makespace team is busy
planning events for you, and
we’ve got some to announce
already. We’ve also got
available spaces and news
about wider community events.
Why not jump right in?

We
truly believe that gathering,
sharing knowledge and
information, is where the
magic happens. A chat over
lunch could turn into an idea
that transforms a
neighbourhood. That’s why we
set up The Common Pot for our
Central Oxford hubs. Once a
month, we get together,
prepare a wholesome soup, and
put the world to rights. We’re
hoping to expand this out to
the wider community. Watch
this space.

Move into
The Old Stables
|
|
|
Due
to a resident moving on who
currently occupies multiple
spaces, we have three rooms
available in our Wantage hub,
The Old Stables. The rooms
range from 5-15 square meters,
with two fully private and one
to be shared with a member of
the Makespace team once a
fortnight. Coworking desks are
also available.
Be part of a hub with a
gorgeous community cafe and a
spacious garden, with
inspiring neighbourhood events
happening and other likeminded
folks to work alongside.
We’ll be arranging some open
days for prospective
residents. Fill
in this form to express
your interest and someone will
be in touch.
Not in Wantage? We also have
coworking and event spaces in
Oxford and in other locations
across Oxfordshire.

Central
Oxford spaces coming up soon
|
|
|
Rooms
in our Oxford hubs always get
snapped up fast, but we’ll
soon be unlocking more space
at 9 Park End Street to
support locally rooted
individuals and organisations
working on areas that create a
social, environmental and/or
cultural benefit to local and
global communities.
Express your interest via
this form and someone
will be in touch about open
days happening on March 3rd
and 11th.

Glimpses
of a Possible Future
|
|
|
Over the past month, we’ve been
having inspiring conversations
with people making a difference
to their communities in
Oxfordshire. This will form the
second season of our Glimpses of
a Possible Future podcast, in
which we explore people-powered
place-shaping across Oxfordshire
and how this links to spatial
justice. Keep an eye on our
social media channels for more
details on the upcoming release.
