Dear All,
Weather permitting, our first attempt at Sunday Street will take place this Sunday 10th 2-4pm on the southern end of the street.
We’ll use a couple of wheelie bins and some bunting to close the street off. If you need to use your car during that time, it would be wonderful if you could move it beyond #40. If there’s any chance you could easily move your car from the southern stretch of the street for those two hours to make some extra space, so much the better. If there’s any urgent need for a car to pass, we will move onto the pavement while that happens.
The idea is that it’s spontaneous and stress free. Just turn up with a cup of tea in hand. However… games, musical instruments, seed sharing, book sales, baked goods and everything is between are all very much encouraged. Someone told me they were bringing seeds for a Hayfield Road sunflower competition, my daughter wants to bake muffins in aid of the Trap grounds. We have lots of cake left over from Catherine’s glorious birthday celebration - if anyone has a trestle table, please bring it along.
Fingers crossed for some sun!
In the meantime, have a good week
Sarah
