Hello. I've booked the conservatory at The Anchor from 6 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday this week (25 February) for an informal get-together. Everyone is welcome. Just buy yourself a drink at the bar and join us in the conservatory. It's a nice way to meet new neighbours, catch up with local news, and support the pub.
And everyone is welcome to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Friends of the Trap Grounds (our local nature reserve) on Friday this week (the 27th) in St Margaret's Institute, Polstead Road. Join us at 7.15 pm to enjoy a glass of wine before we present illustrated reports of conservation work, educational events, and wildlife highlights of the past year. Then Edward Whorwood, the City Council's new Tree Superintendent, will give an illustrated talk entitled How Native Trees Encourage Wildlife Resilience.
Good wishes,
Catherine R.
