As a recent graduate of the University of Phoenix, I can confidently say that my experience was transformative. Absolutely! Patience is key when waiting for assignment grades. Instructors typically aim to have everything graded within the following week, based on when your assignments are due. Here's why:

1. Flexible Learning Environment:

The University of Phoenix offers online and hybrid programs, allowing students to balance education with work, family, and personal commitments. The flexibility was... Read More a game-changer for me, especially during challenging times.

2. Active Participation:

To succeed, engage actively! Start by doing all the readings a day before class. This sets the stage for meaningful discussions during the live sessions. Participate in forums, share insights, and learn from your peers.

4. Assignments and Labs:

Knock out assignments and labs promptly. These practical exercises reinforce theoretical concepts. Apply what you've learned, seek feedback, and iterate. Consistency pays off.

6. Overcoming Challenges:

Life happens. I faced my own struggles, including a mental breakdown. But I returned, determined. You can too! Seek support, use resources, and persevere. Your journey is unique, and resilience matters.

7. My Journey:

Like you, I had setbacks. I dropped out briefly but returned in 2023. Today, I'm graduating with a 3.59 GPA. It's proof that resilience and determination pay off. Stick with it, and don't give up on your dreams.

University of Phoenix is a great School to attend. I mean, they practically stay in touch with you by email, and phone to make sure that you stay focused and on track. They also will walk you through any problems that you may have with anything. I didn't have any trouble while attending this School. My grade average was an A. I had my reason for leaving this School, but it wasn't anything that they did wrong, it just was a personal matter. I would recommend this School to everyone. Thanks University... I wish I could write a great review. I completed my BSN at the University of Phoenix and continued for my MSN in education. I have 2 practicums to go and come to find out I am in a restricted state. Cannot find a facility that will let me complete these last two courses for my degree. If the university knew I was in a restricted state, they knew when I got to these last 2 classes that I would not be able to complete the program. They should have told me from the beginning so I could have went somewhere... Read More else. Now I am consulting an attorney to see if there is anything I can do, legally. Transferring to another university, I will lose credits and have to retake classes I already took which I will have to pay for again.

I started the UOPX from my current place of employment, giving great reviews and recommending this institute. The University of Phoenix is not a place I recommend for any student. I am a year away from graduating, I will continue with my degree, however the institute itself should not be accredited.

The instructors are the worst part of the University.

Some are awesome, most have absolutely no idea what they are teaching or talking about.

The courses are easy to complete. The work is simple, but... Read More as a student we need taught and ask basic questions, unfortunately the instructors are a joke. When reaching out to financial aid or academia, I would not recommend this University to anyone. It is low grade, low volume teaching and feedback.

My experience with this school was positive, the professors were very responsive, providing adequate guidance. They responded to questions and provided timely feedback on assignments. The advisors reached out to check in even when I brushed them off. They were interested in how I was doing personally and academically. On the few occasions I called, I was able to reach a live person. The subject matter provided is applicable to my career, overall a positive experience. In this school you get what... Read More you put in. I would highly recommend to anyone who is self motivated and focused.

Took classes I didn't need to fit the requirementsof needed credits. The course/degree they got me in has no jobs in my state or else to my area. Total rip off the online course really doesn't teach you things to remember. Would not recommend 35k plus of debt. Plus didn't help me find a job in that career because there was none

If you are looking to get a degree in IT, do not go here. Don't attend this school in person, online, or hybrid. The degree itself is worthless here because you don't have any of the certifications you need to land a job in the field. Every single job that you are going to apply for, requires some type of certification. They don't care that you have a degree because that doesn't prove you know what you are doing. The certifications will. I only completed my degree here at UOP because I was already... Read More far deep into completing and it didn't make sense to switch to another school to delay my graduation process. But I now regret every step I took with UOP because it was a complete waste of time. I can't get a job! Overall, the learning is self taught. It's a lot of reading and minimal labs. You are going to do a lot of classes that are pointless or only dabble into what you might find interest in. You are going to do nothing technical here which means you are going to get your degree and have learned absolutely nothing. Having this degree specifically from UOP you will have no upper hand because you "have a degree". The job market cares about certifications in IT, not your degree. When you have experience under your belt and want to get into a management position, they will care about your degree when comparing you to someone else who doesn't have it. But keep in mind, years of experience will out weight everything into a management position over your IT degree, any day of the week. But just starting out; CERTIFICATIONS! Plain and simple. That's what the job market cares about. Certifications. Do your research on the job market in your area or the area you want to live and see the requirements for yourself. Bachelors degree with xyz certifications and 1-2 years of experience. With a masters degree, some cases 0 years of experience but again xyz certifications are required. If you are serious about getting an IT degree, google the school WGU. They have a great reputation and you walk away with a dozen certifications which allows you jump right into a position right away. Don't waste your time at UOP for a IT degree. And if you choose to ignore this review, when you get your IT degree at UOP like I did. Don't say I didn't warn you! Google WGU and look at their IT degree program.

I will advise anyone whom plan to attend this school do your research before hand . so far I have 4 mos. To go I almost snapped 2x bc the faculty is not at all Teacher/professor qualified in my opinion. Many of us adults attending school to further our education & opportunities in life , some of us have been out of school for over 10yrs or possibly longer. They pile assignments on top of assignments. Your not given a chance to make up a assignment bc if its late still failing grade . So pointless.... Read More They make up a curriculum that only they understand. You can turn in a assignment on time even if it's incorrect you should still get credit. They will literally take credit from you bc they ask for a entirely new one. So it's still pointless, As if you never put in any work . Alot of these assignments and instructions do not match whatever is expected. They are also obsessed with plagiarism' and as a adult I would not think this has to be stressed bc this is something you learn in elementary school . Some teachers are so obsessed with this they've change assignment directions without you being prepared. Your still settling in to understand the portals etc. Too many changes is absurd. Oh , and did I mention the late response to emails via messages. I will not be pursuing any further for my psychology degree . Very disappointed.
