Hi there,

Wondering if you guys think it would be nice to automatically create
the references in Config.hx to the controllers added by the user?
Basically, when running ignite build it would be a matter of reading
the files that are on the controllers folder and automatically
generating the imports. Shouldn't be difficult to do.

Let me know if you think it would be useful, I can try to implement this myself.

Other than that, there hasn't been apparent activity for the last year
on the project. You guys have moved on? Any plans to keep pushing it
any time soon?

Cheers!

Juan

Hey Juan and all you on this list. Since the question came up, my answer is yes, you could say I have moved on. Haxigniter was a fun project for me after a many happy years in PHP and Codeigniter-land. But in the beginning of 2010 I found ASP.NET MVC 2, and after that things hasn't been the same. :)

Haxe was my way of moving away from PHP, and when I found MVC 2 I could also move away from hardly testable, singleton-based frameworks (like most PHP-frameworks are today, imho). Franco Ponticelli had a nice start in his ufront framework, and he kindly let me on that ship, changing much of it to be more like MVC 2/3. And from there we have implemented more and more features. It's available at http://code.google.com/p/ufront/ if you'd like to take a look, but it's not as startup-friendly as haxigniter yet...!

I'm a very non-attached kind of person so I have no problem moving on to new things, but if someone wants to develop haxigniter further I'd be happy to put you as collaborator on github. Let me know, and thanks for every bit of support you all have given this framework!

Best regards,
Andreas

Oh, well, thank you for your work : )

Now I'm not sure what to do. What's the state of ufront? Is it ready
to use even if there's no documentation?

About pushing haxigniter further... well, I rather put my efforts to a
framework with other developers, rather than being on my own. And
since there hasn't been much movement in the list either, I'm guessing
nobody else would join the party?

to haXigniter
Hello Juan, Hello Andreas.
I'm currently using haxigniter for my website and I think I will use
it again for my next websites.
I can join the party but I wonder if there are much more advanced
frameworks than haxigniter for php target(I really don't know if
that's the case).
I wonder if it will be better to use haxe macro to reference
automatically the controllers?
Best regards,
ludo
