As I said on the [haxelang] Group, while I agree we should fix this, I
don't have the time to take care of it, so I'm happy if someone want to
do it as an official representative of haxe.org

Sorry if it seems I am repeating things Nicolas, I wasn't sure if the distinction between whitelisting individual files and addressing the reputation rating of the website itself was clear in terms of what you had stated in the other thread.

It's easy for members of the community to do the first activity, but unless they have access to the server I think it may be impossible for them to address the second (the subject of this thread). I understand if you don't have time, but this requires someone in the community with access to the server. Site ownership verification requires the ability to change files on the server: http://safeweb.norton.com/help/site_owners#verification_tips

Norton don't make this easy, I realise.
I am more than happy to do the rest of whatever is required (I don't think there should be much to it), but I would still need to work with somebody who can actually either place a temporary html file in the site root, or temporarily add a meta tag with some token from norton.

Hi,
in order to get in touch with Norton there is an owner verification requirement - either adding a meta tag to the frontpage or adding a file to the docroot.
If anyone can assist me with this I can do the rest.

@Axel : couldn't answer to you directly (not sure why) so I confirm
there that the file is now online

Thanks Nicolas and Axel.  Well done!

It took Norton a few days, but the site finally has a green light.
Only a couple of us have added community ratings to that page.
If anyone else in the community is a norton user, we should encourage them to add their positive rating.

I did do a scan of other site ratings advisors (mcafee etc.) for haxe.org and for the most part they were fine. If we can add whitelisting of the files to the release process this should help new people be more confident in their first experience with Haxe.
I'm happy to help out  whereever I can here. If part of the release process was simply to notify volunteers in the community to perform this activity they could just report back (e.g. on haxedev) once it had been done. I'm happy to be on that list.

cheers
Greg
