Hey list,

I was looking at my browser tabs with lots of Haxe opened, and noticed that I seem to not like the icon.
For my taste it's a little too old-school and a little too orange :)
FlashDevelop not long ago has changed it's icon from orange to less orange, which I think was a big improvement.

So here's the question:

Do you think Haxe logo/style should be redesigned in order to "bring Haxe to the next level"?

The entire Haxe website and the logo were redesigned recently, so I don't think there is change required in the next time, aside from that in my opinion this is not the biggest issue for Haxe right now.

I think the haxelogo is very strong.  I can't remember what I saw, but it clarified that haxelogo was even ahead of trends, sometimes I see tele copying the feel of internet experiments and you know that the experiments have influenced trends/fashions etc...  well it was something like that, that made me realize haxe logo was on trend, maybe that is not ideal long term but good now.
Flash for instance have always had a strong red and ruby's logo has also been positive for it's popularity, I think the bold splash of orange colour is very positive especially for creative industries, the change of logo you refer to above is because the first logo contrast was slightly lost and the newer logo is sharper.  I think current haxe logo is actually a huge asset and  I commend the designer whoever they are.
The current haxe site needs some conceptual changes but haxe is always on the move so it's tricky to snapshot it into a really useful digestible form, but it is something I think users are considering, and sites like haxenme.org have focused on a viewpoint and added very positively I urge you to do similar :).

Changing the color of the logo a little is easy. Please post some screenshots of what you recommend and maybe we can vote. I can also post some options if you prefer... Thank you for mentioning!
