Hi,

TL;DR
Please fill in and spread out this Haxe usage survey!

In the middle of updating the Haxe packages across different Linux distro, I'm wondering whether it is enough cover Debian/Ubuntu (deb), and Fedora (rpm). Covering every distro on earth is of course the best, but you know we don't have enough manpower.

So I've created a 10 question survey to find out the current Haxe usages and wishes, particularly related to the setup being used.

The result of the survey will be published in my blog at http://blog.onthewings.net/.
Thanks for your time!

Best,
Andy

Done, who is coding haxe on mobile devices (not FOR, ON)? What are you using and what are you making?

Hey, thank you for all the helps!
I've received 150+ responses within 24 hours. It clearly shows that how active and engaging our community is!
There are already some interesting and surprising trends showing up.
I will leave the survey open for a few more days. If any of you haven't answered the questions yet, please do so ;)
Thanks again!

Best regards,
Andy

Indeed I'm asking whether people are interested in doing Haxe development ON (not FOR) mobile OSes.
I added that question when I was listing the Linux distros. I know some of my friends installed Android on their laptop.. So I guess there may be interest in using mobile devices for Haxe dev.
And big surprise: at the moment, there is higher interest in using mobile OSes for Haxe dev, comparing to using Mac... Even if some people misunderstood the question, the number is still surprisingly high.

Best,
Andy

I'm pretty sure people misunderstood the question then, I did :)

Nevermind. I knew the wording is confusing and it is not the typical questions people being asked. ;)
Next time I will add some verification questions to make sure people understand before they proceed to answer.

Cheers,
Andy

Interesting, with ubuntu touch a dev environment on there would be awesome, but I suppose when the convergence stuff finally lands it'll be a non issue as your phone will run your desktop tools anyway.
