Problem with FlxGamepad: Class not found--flash.system.Capabilities

Hello!

I was just about to start a HaxeFlixel tutorial, this is my first time getting into Flixel stuff (coming from Flashpunk and a liittle bit of Haxepunk).  I got everything set up, got flixel and flixel-tools installed, all that--but when I went to build the template project, I got the error in the topic line.  I looked it up in the forum but there was only one topic about it, and it was pretty unhelpful.  I checked; I have flash 11.8 installed, so thats not the problem.  I'm stumped.  What should I try next?

Have you tried defining FLX_NO_GAMEPAD in Project.xml, just uncomment that line.  If that works, you can get started at least, running on keyboard controls, until someone smarter than me gives you a better answer.

It's not about having it installed (what does that even mean BTW, you mean the SA player? if so Update it pronto! but that's irrelevant), you need to make sure that on your project.xml the flash version is set to be anything bigger than 11.2 (if you choose to leave your FLX_NO_GAMEPAD xml tag alone that is). That's the only known cause to this error.

For gamepad support, it's actually 11.8, not 11.2.

(The solution ended up being, I just uninstalled all of Haxe and reinstalled--I didn't have a lot of stuff set up anyways so it was no big.)
