Building for mac on windows

[Sloz]

I'm trying to build to mac using:

lime build mac

in the command line. But whenever I try to run the resulting .app on a mac I get this error:

LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810 for the file /Users/xxxxx/xxxx...

Does anyone know whats going on or how to fix it?

Hello,

If you're trying to build for OSX from a Windows machine like the title is suggesting, then you won't get far. Unless something has changed, when it comes to desktop platforms you should only be able to build for the OS you're currently using.

So to target Mac OSX, you need to be using it in the first place - even if it is in the form of a VM image. Make sure to have Xcode installed as well.

Well that kinda bites. Oh well, guess I'm gonna be getting friendlier with my roommate's Mac haha.

A lot of people (myself included) have this problem.

I think it would be great if, as a community, we could devise some sort of solution. We need some sort of build machine where we can say "here's my GitHub repo, go build it and give me the DMG file" (PhoneGap or one of the related technologies does something like this).

Of course, keeping that from being abused is the challenging part...
