Can HaxeFlixel target Mac without Flash? I've seen a bunch of documentation articles saying it can using hxcpp, but when I check the dropdown menu on FlashDevelop theres no option for mac.  I tried using the windows target which I know uses hxcpp to see if that would somehow do it, but it only produced a .exe.

Yes you can build to native mac but you need Xcode in order to do so.
So you need a mc in order to for mac. You could probably try out some kind of virtual machine, that could work too.

Ohhh, I see.  I do have a Mac, but I'll probably just save myself the trouble of getting Haxe set up for Xcode and compile for Flash.  The framerate drop isnt TOO bad...

So you have to get a mac to build for mac. (Or use a vm or something)

The framerate is definitely higher for the native target and setting up XCode is just a matter of downloading it from the App Store.

Than you open the command line and from your project's folder run:

lime build mac

And that's it. :)
