remote connection credentials

I have searched, and searched the web for this answer and nothing yet. When I click on a remote connection, hawtio asks me for some login credentials. I have NO idea what those creds should be. I tried configuring the creds on the server side for Jolokia, and on hawtio. Nothing works. Could someone please let me know what those creds are supposed to come from.

I am using the executable jar to connect to my localhost Spring Boot app that has Jolokia enabled. I am able to go here in a web browser and get a response: 

http://localhost:8081/myexampleservice/actuator/jolokia

I start the jar with this command line: 

java -Dhawtio.proxyWhitelist='*' -Dhawtio.authenticationEnabled=false -Dhawtio.roles='*' -jar hawtio-app-2.9.1.jar

I have messed with all types of System Properties. This seems like a bug in hawtio.
