Today's hike was good, we ended up catching the bus n met some really
awesome ppl along the way.

Anyway, so Antya (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) was saying how
Hanauma bay is opened for night snorkeling every first Saturday of the
month. And the first Saturday is this upcoming saturday. I think it
starts at 7pm or so. Anyone up for it?

I've been there a million times but never at night. 830 is the
earliest I could be there, do you know what time it ends? I have
extra flashlights, neon glowsticks and other night diving gear people
can use regardless.

Count me in on this. Maybe we could meet up and rideshare to Hanauma
after the urban hike in Chinatown. I no longer have a car, but I have
my own snorkel gear that I won't let anyone else use (cause I plan on
using it, selfish SOB that I am)

sounds good. what time we meeting for chinatown? Maybe we can meet at
the pali safeway/longs? cuz my bus stops there.

Also, I won't be going night snorkling on July 5 cuz its my friend's
21st bday. I was just posting it for Antya cuz she needed ppl to go
with. Her email is <stell...@web.de>

I will go if my friend decides to go night snorkeling instead of
gettin drunk off her ass on her 21st. Highly unlikely though....

I was just looking at the website and it says that it is the second
and fourth saturdays which would mean that it isn't this Saturday but
the next one:

"For our summer session, Hanauma Bay is open daily from 6:00a.m. until
7:00p.m. except on Tuesdays. We are closed all day on Tuesdays. On the
second and fourth Saturdays of each month, Hanauma Bay remains open
until 10:00p.m.
Changes are possible at any time; for the latest information call the
recorded information line at (808) 396-4229. "

That means you can go party this Saturday and come snorkel next time
Phoebe. Unless you are too drunk that is! ;)

Hey guys, myself and probably my boyfriend would like to go...we can
take three people if they don't mind cuddling in the backseat!

I just flew back in (after a lovely six weeks in California and Korea) so I'm a little slow on the uptake here... but what date are we talking here? Isn't "first Saturday" last Saturday? If it's some other date, I would love to go, and I also can drive up to four people (three very comfortably, four cozily) in my Passport.

Hey guys,

So the night snorkeling is happening THIS saturday (7/12). I won't be
meeting you guys in town because my uncles are coming torching with us
so I'll be getting there straight from Kailua. I'll be there at 7pm.

I think it'll be good if you folks all meet at 6:30 pm at Yogurt Land
(old Volcano Joe's)

People I know going so far are: Natalie, Michelle and bf, Nate, Chris,
Jake, Justin.

You guys know my number so gimme a call if you need any other info.

see ya!

That sounds like a good idea. Meet at Yogurtland at 6:30 pm. Also,
Antje suggested that we make this a potluck dinner. So we can bring
food and eat on the beach. I would say bringing vegan/vegetarian
friendly stuff is the best option. Anyone else interested in doing
this?

Should be able to make that Sat., I'll drive if needed.

Remember to bring your Hawaii ID (resident gets in free). Hawaii Car
registration in your name works too.

6:30pm sounds good... I don't have a car, so I would need a ride.
It might also be that a friend of mine will be joining us, she has a
car and would probably drive BUT we better do not count on her.

See you on Saturday

I took some much needed vacation time. I'll PROBABLY be at yogurt
land at 6 with a couple spare seats. I have my own skin diving gear,
but are they renting gear as usual for the night dive?

there is a place where you can rent fins and flashlights and all that
stuff but last time I was there it closed at 8pm.
the complete equipment with fins, snorkel, goggles and flashlight is
about 20 bucks.

I'm going to head down there earlier with some UH friends who want to
get in the water before dark, so we won't be at YogurtLand - but I
would love to meet you guys for the potluck and will bring something
tasty to make up for the fact I won't be driving!

That should be fine. As long as we don't have extra ppl showing up, I
think right now we have just enough seats for everyone. So far,
Rachel, Natalie, Chris, Jake, Antje, Norm, Nate (and maybe his
friends) are going to be meeting at yogurtland. Hope I didn't leave
neone out. What time u guys gonna stay till?
