HPP had a couple of 20-acres parcels that were planned to be parks/commercial areas. I think so does Ainaloa (on a smaller scale.) Except for the couple of small HACA-owned lots, all of HA lots are owned by private individuals.
The feeling in the community are mixed as to getting parks within our subdivision. Stephanie Bath (who is on the Action Committee) is pushing hard to get parks within Hawaiian Acres, but from what I can see, it is a one=person plan. She has not approached the HACA board for any input. And, from what I've heard, some people are not too thrilled about establishing parks within our boundaries. (I personally would like to see parks on the perimeter, near the the S. Kulani or Kuauli entrances.)
