Against state law - Self Dealing. The paperwork was delivered to the
H.A.C.A. office .
A person in a post here says a board member (s) of H.A.C.A. gets paid
$250.00 a month to maintain the grounds. If this is true, then it is
against the laws in the state of Hawaii .As per Self Dealing.

On a side note - the last time i went in for free pancakes on a
saturday, flies were all over the pancakes and no refridgeration of
ingredients what so ever.
Having many years in food service industry, this is a potential HUGE
liability in the realm of unsanatary and food borne illness.
Has the health department passed the kitchen as a safe venue for
serving food to the masses ?

This is the typical bullshit caused by ignorance.

First, you have to hide your identity in your message "From: <>" cause you're a coward.

Second, you want to twist the facts to "slander and defame" HACA.  The lawn maintenance contract was put out for bid and awarded based on the HACA Board of directors bidding proccess. Go to the meetings and you would know the facts first hand.

Third, The Saturday get together is not run by HACA nor is any of the FREE food you eat provided by HACA. Nor have I ever seen the kitchen in the condition which you alledge.

Again, slander and defamation of character by a coward.

Tell me this, does the HARC board of dictators still require a mediator during their meetings due to the childish behaviour of some of the "elected officers"?

Is the new HARC office manager a replacement for ONE more manager who quit rather than deal with the drama HARC likes to create?

Fact is Laurie quit after ten years because of the HARC board, Brenda quit after one year because of the HARC board!

Back to the flies in the kitchen, maybe they followed the smell of the bullshit.

Swear words are very unbecoming of a gentleman and are frowned upon by
God's of all faiths.

Where in the rules does it say that a human being must use a name ?
Phil is there a rule that says i must use a name ?

Coward - I think not - perhaps unique individual thinker would be more
apprapoe.

My diet will not allow me to consume that sort of food.To assume i eat
that sort of food is an assumption on your part.

I have been to the HACA meetings.I just sit and listen - perhaps you
have not seen me.

There is no requirement to state your name in a message. However, this
kind of discussion group provides no anonymity - those who selected to
receive copies of messages by email see the originator's email address
in the message headers.

If you seriously believe that a HACA board member is guilty of
inurement, then please take the proper first step of writing a letter
of formal complaint to the HACA office. Make sure to include the
reasons for your belief.

If you do not receive a satisfactory response, then the proper next
step is to contact the appropriate authorities.

Complaining about it in a public forum like this is pointless.

I would like to clear up a couple issues:

1st the self-dealing is in the state code and pertains to non-profit the law clearly states and spells out "self-dealing" no board member shall be paid for services. read the state law it is on line and accessible.
2nd The new HARC office worker was hired for various reasons , yes board problems and court subpoenas for records were part of the issue and the fact that the past manager had personal reasons .
3rd on the issue of laurie, well the country prosecutor attended a meeting suggested and audit be done and laurie tendered her resignation
4th flies on the pancakes well i have not seen this and i occasionally stop by for a free pancake BUT i always donate something  bottle of syrup, etc.
i do like the idea of a free meal for the community and i will continue to donate towards the project.
not a coward signed susann

Mahalo Steve,
I like your intestinal fortitude to express yourself. I truly respect this. Now let's see if any censorship creeps in.
I to, have an issue with anonymous writers, and phone callers. HA is truly a zoo! Nothing changes there, so I guess we have to live with it.
Actually I believe the forum contributors are the best HA has. The worse are the apathetic ones that say nothing.
I'm a bit perplexed by your comment about the HARC board meetings with mediators, did this really happen? I've been on it 2 years and never heard this one. I believe HARC did experience some thing worse, recently. You may be aware of?
Keep up the great comments, it keeps us entertained.                                                                A.L.O.H.A.           Russ
