Aloha all,
There have been cases of Rapid Ohi'a Death (R.O.D.) within Hawaiian Acres.
There are things that we can do to stops its spread.
At this time, there is no known cure for this devastating fungus.
(Since I am not overly optimistic about the future of the ohi'a, I have been planting other native trees amongst my ohi'a. 'Ohe. Ho'awa, 'Iliahi (sandalwood), nele'au (Hawaiian Sumac), alahe'e, and koa are some of the trees that seem to do well in the area.)
