ALOHA ALL,
As you maybe aware the Hawaii State Legislature recently approved to
spend $36,000,000
to build a Regional Library in Puna.
The new regional library is looking for a home.
We in upper and middle Puna believe it will be a "win win" situation to
centralize it's location so ALL of Puna has reasonable access to it.
We have approached Bill Walters - President of the W.H. Shipman Ltd. for
land to house said library. Mr. Walters and his Board of Trustees have
given us a verbal OK to build it on donated land they own next to the
existing park at no cost to the public.
The Keaau area like it or not will be for ever be a cross road for all
of Puna.
It simply makes sense to build the regional library in an area that will
be reasonably accessible to ALL of Puna.
As you may not know according to the last U.S. census, Upper Puna
subdivisions continue to collectively be the FASTEST growing communities
in the State of Hawaii.
PLEASE COME OUT AND HELP US HELP OURSELVES - VOICE YOUR OPINION Make it
count.
