All laws, when written, are written according to the legal definitions active at
the time they are written, and to be correctly understaod and applied, MUST be
interpreted according to the definitions in effect when enacted. Those of us in
the Hawaiian Sovereignty/Independence movements are dealing with U.S. Laws and
Treaties dating back over a hundred years, and in fact so also are those who are
U.S. Citizens trying to claim their original-jurisdiction constitutional rights,
dealing with historical U.S. law dating back to the 1700s. Thus I have need of
old editions of Black's, and really would like a copy of EACH edition, as
definitions have changed over time.
While U.H. Manoa Law Library is close to where I live on Oahu, I'm moving to
Kaua`i soon, and so am looking for my own personal copies to refer to. Retaining
sovereign rights requires that you do NOT use a lawyer, thus the need to
personally know, understand, and litigate ancient laws defined by ancient legal terms.

give it up with that sovereignity shit,I am a resident in Hawaii and have been
following it ---for YEARS--.

never happen--look how many factions there are already? wait til later when the
issue is finally addressed--hundreds more will make a group and appoint a
leader, what about Waihee coming out of the woodworks--possibly going to run for
your next KING! -such emotion when he speaks --nowadays-- never when he was
governer.

the old joke about never going to a luau without witnessing or being in a
fight----get 10 hawaiians together and what have you got?---how may hawaiians
does it take to--(fill in the blank on that one)--numerous and countless jokes
can follow that line

and where's your army, air force, and navy? who's gonna bail us out when
somebody attacks?

and finally WHAT"S UP WITH OHA??
It's a sorry state of affairs ,all the conniving, back stabbing and general
bullshit that goes on there--sort of like a wanna be bishop estate. The wheels
are already falling off--What would the ancestors say about a board run
entirely by wahines?? what have they done for hawaiian home lands??

just wanted to stir up the pot!!
because sovereignty is a crock of shit

Sovereignty in Hawaii is less likely than sovereignty in Quebec & they're
both spouting the same rhetoric and have accomplished the same thing:
stirred up a lot of emotions. KM

Good point. I also do research on various subjects where decisions are made
based on knowledge at the time of their conception. The "then known"
written data governs their "right or wrong" application. If I come across
one, I'll pick it up and let you know.
