Hey, guys
I wanted to know what would be the best starter pack to purchase ?
I can remember reading the tracts from when I was very young. I would
have that
tinge in the stomach, that I was doing something bad. The church that I
went to frowned on them. As I got older I just saw the tracts about
and would glance at them. I do remember reading a few.
I,m looking for something to use as a subtle witness tool.
Thanks for your help.

Welcome aboard, Gary!

The best way to get started is to purchase the assortment pack from
Chick Publications. For around $19 (shsipping included) you'll get
approximately 100 tracts. They'll send you one of every current tract.
Don't forget to ask for and out of print copies they may have in
stock.
Also, if you ask for the free "promotional tracts" they'll throw some
of them in at no cost. Here's the link:

Another great tool for collecting Chick tracts is the Jack T. Chick
Museum of Fine Art (operated by our very own group member "KK").
Tons of information, and lists of tracts for sale are avialable on his
website. I also suggest you consider joining the "Chick Tract Club".
Here's the link to the website:

As far as "subtle" goes, there's not much about Jack T. Chick or his
tracts that can be called subtle! (haw-haw).

The local Christian Book store is run by a long time friend of my families.
I will see if he has them or can get them. I will keep you posted

Thanks, Dave! If you find they have them, I'll contact you and see
what we can do.

I might have told this story before, so stop me if you heard it
already, BUT--

We had a Christian bookstore here in Tallahassee. I went through
looking for Chick tracts, but couldn't find any. Neither could the
clerk. She asked the owner who was wondering around, like a proud
rooster admiring his own shop. He said, "Oh no, I would NEVER carry
those things. They're anti-Catholic!" I pointed out that most titles
were on other topics, and there were plenty available that weren't
controversial at all. He waived his hands and said they weren't
serious witnessing tools and he would never carry them. I left and
never went back, but I noticed a Catholic book store had just opened
up across the street from him to offer some neighborly competition. A
year or so later, I saw the Christian store was closed, and the
Catholic book store was still in business. I guess they showed their
appreciation for his anti-Chick stance by helping run him out of
business. He should have read "MY NAME IN THE VATICAN?" while he still
had a chance, haw-haw!

Yeah, I told it before... in THIS forum no less! Good thing I didn't
exaggerate it in either story, or the comparison would make the BS
factor obvious, haw-haw!
