Dear all,

Sorry I have not replied sooner, my daughter has the computer full time as
is in the middle of her GCSE's.

To clarify the situation, Stan rang me on Sunday to let me know the problem
and we agreed that it would be up to the COMMITTEE to make a decision , once
the FACTS were known.

I feel (and this has happened before) that excessive emails are not helpful
and with the greatest of respect would ask that ONLY committee members are
involved. To that end please can I ask the representatives of Hatton Darts
to communicate this to their members asap. If they wish to express an
opinion it must be done to their committee members and not through open
emails to all, hardly professional and as this is only Peel Runners second
year with us, does not show us in a good sporting light.

I ask therefore that all emails stop with immediate effect.

As a committee we can either hold a quick emergency meeting and put it to a
vote, if necessary or resolve it via CLOSED email.

I will send a separate email, probably tomorrow with some suggestions. In
the mean time feel free to forward this to those of your members who have
expressed their view and ask them to observe correct protocol.

I don't want to express an opinion on league rules, but the internet is open to all, its our website and the content is non offensive.

For those who understand the new Google groups….you can stop reading now.

 

Google Groups logs in  via an email address despite it being a message/discussion board. Any site which logs in this way generates an email list which can then be used and/or abused at a later date.

 

These emails are NOT sent from individual accounts. They are send as a sub service from group groups with the idea to continue the discussion board debate. It is this that has generated the failure of email etiquette.

 

De register from Google groups. This should take you off of the lists. But the of course you won’t have access to this communication method for the Darts.

 

Electronic comms….great eh?
