Hatton Darts had 17 runners out at the 'Gate Gallop 10k', Tamworth, the 5th race in the Burton & District Summer League.
The testing off-road course was a mix of grass, footpaths and farm tracks ran in warm, overcast weather.
First out for the Darts was triathlete Andy Thornton, pacing himself well for a superb 4th place finish in thirty seven minutes twenty six seconds. Next in was Duncan Stewart who despite limited training gave his all for a fine 9th place (39:43). Men's Captain Mark Slade put in his usual determined performance to cross the line in 16th (41:37), followed by Nigel Elson who ran solidly for 23rd in 42:32. The ever improving Paul Waters found the course to his liking finishing in 29th (43:30). Evergreen Steve Clews gradually worked his way through the field to cross in 47th place (45:40), the final team counter for the Darts Men's team. Also finishing were : Paul Smith 50th(45:51), Chris Fletcher 66th(47:13), Craig Street 68th(47:27), Pete Sennitt 263rd (1:02:40),
Andy Gadsby 307th (1:06:38).

In the Women's race Debbie Gilman put in another top performance to take 2nd place (43rd overall) and the Women's Vet prize in a time of 45:23.
New recruit Amaris Nerys put in a promising performance finishing 176th in 55:01. Rachel Elliot ran well for 205th place in 56:41, with final counter Emma Smith finishing in a creditable 222nd (59:00).
Also finishing : Carol Sharratt 245th (1:01:10), Bex Fieldmouse 308th (1:06:55)
