Hello AA directors

H7 is completing her 50 years this year and they are kicking off the
Golden Jubilee celebrations on Oct 24-26. As part of this kick-off,
H7 is also launching the "Make Hostel My Home".

Instead of a broad introduction of MH2 across all hostels, we are
launching this as a limited pilot only at one hostel - H7. The
purpose is to better understand what works and what does not work. It
would also help us gauge the level of student participation who are
the most important stake holders of MH2

This learning will help us upgrade the MH2 program, If all goes well,
we plan to introduce MH2 to all hostels beginning with 2014-15 year.

I would like you to review the attached and return with your comments
and upgrades.

Sounds good to me. I would only like to urge Hemant to take this up in all hostels sooner than 6 months because of a historical reason. We announced MHMH launch in all hostels in Dec 2010 and this got covered in the press too. (Indian Express's Mihika Basu reminded me about this) We held back from implementation due to various reasons, but the sentiment now is gravitating towards a quick implementation on the ground. This is of course, not to rush into anything thoughtlessly. Just my suggestion for consideration.
Hemant, I plan on going through your other SOP draft tonight and will revert ASAP.

Hemant,

Seems very good idea. The key challenge will be to get sufficient number of students buy into it.

Your last line in last slide: "theme for each wing" - is probably very important and should be prominently used in any such campaign.

Once a positive and cheerful (no pun "intended") theme is there, then students may be more enthusiastic about mundane things like cleanliness.

With Best Regards,

Hemant,

Excellent… I tend to agree with Bakul on extending this to all hostels earlier than 6 months. Alumni day is on 29th Dec. and we can plan to launch this in other hostels on 28th Dec. By that time we will have 2 months experience which we surely can use for fine-tuning. And the experience we will get in the next 3-4 months will be 12-15 times more for absolute fine-tune. However, I will leave the final decision to you.

I offer myself to take the lead for H-4 and start preparing the background for the launch.

warm regards, deepak

This will be a really nice "giving back" from alumni!

If Insti gives this "lecture" it will go waste. From alumni they will listen :-)
