Abstract for the talk by Anastasios Tzanidakis

We conducted the largest systematic search for KIC 8462852 (Boyajian et al. 2016) analogs with over 4 million FG main sequence stars selected from Gaia DR3 and crossmatched to the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) survey. We provide a statistical framework, including a dipper detection algorithm for sparse multi-band photometry to recover possible anomalous dimming events. Our study explores the use of Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) to perform a K-means light curve clustering via the DTW cost function, of possible Boyajian star analogs discovered by ZTF. Finally, we perform a sensitivity analysis using our dipper detection framework using Timeseries Analysis & Processing Engine (TAPE), and with the original Kepler data from the Boyajian star dimming events mapped to real ZTF observations utilizing its cadence, depth, and noise floor.
