Dear all,

Since we postponed our Americas-based working group meeting last week, we are holding both Europe- and Americas-based time zone meetings this week.

Both meetings will be at https://cmu.zoom.us/j/92939204460?pwd=aGdXTFQ5d1pTVmI1a0t3d0UwTzRhQT09

On Thursday, October 23, 2025, for the Europe time meeting, we will meet at 6 am Pacific, 9 am Eastern, 3 pm Central European Time.
The notes document is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qE_zmRcWzFKf16ZFKQ0izct7k_nj0r371dH54mLqThQ/

On Friday, October 24, 2025, for the Americas time meeting, we will meet at 10am Pacific, 1 pm Eastern, 2 pm Brasília Time Zone.
The notes document is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1l86MuzfYROWfRg_tg4R7o38WvHXUurHUEknUFWeCI78/

The main topics will be updates from last week's busy week meeting and the action items and plans from this meeting. I want to highlight:
- Updates on IVOA note, VOParquet, and action items before next IVOA meeting
- Work on making the GAIA dataset (more) HATS compatible
- Plans for HATS catalogs served on Open Space buckets
- Integration of more advanced cross-matching methods with LSDB
- Efforts on enabling TAP-like queries on HATS catalogs

We hope to see many of you there at these meetings,
Melissa and Neven

Dear all,

Since next week is Thanksgiving week, we will hold our Europe-based meeting early, i.e., this week. This means we are holding meetings in both Europe- and Americas-based time zones this week.
On Thursday, November 20, 2025 we will meet with our European-time zone partners at 6 am Pacific, 9 am Eastern, 3 pm Central European Time.
On Friday, November 21, 2025 we will meet at 10 am Pacific, 1 pm Eastern, 3 pm Brasília Time Zone.
The main topic for the Americas-time zone meeting will be updates from the IVOA Goerlitz meeting, as well as the updates and improvements in the HATS/LSDB ecosystem over the last couple of months. I want to highlight:
- Updates on IVOA note, VOParquet, and providing HATS-on-the-fly catalogs developed by CDS more publicly
- Updates from LIneA on Python pipeline that generates HiPS-compliant catalogs, using HATS catalogs as inputs.
- Demo/report on Rubin Prompt Processing database (i.e., incremental catalogs) adoption
- Demo/report on TAP / ADQL layer to query HATS catalogs
- Demo/report on recent performance updates in LSDB
- Demo/report on implementing Left join in LSDB

Please let us know before or at the meeting if there are further updates or topics that you would like to propose.

Dear all,

As you might have seen in our #lincc-frameworks-lsdb channel on Discovery Alliance Slack, we have decided to skip this month's Americas-time zone meeting scheduled for December 19, as many participants will be away for the end-of-year break. The next Americas-time zone meeting will be on January 16, 2026.

We still plan to hold our Europe-based meeting on December 18 at 6 am Pacific, 9 am East, and 3 pm CET. The meeting will be at https://cmu.zoom.us/j/92939204460?pwd=aGdXTFQ5d1pTVmI1a0t3d0UwTzRhQT09, and the notes are avaliable at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qE_zmRcWzFKf16ZFKQ0izct7k_nj0r371dH54mLqThQ/edit?tab=t.0

Kind Regards,
