I further hate that there is so much myth that people even now
believe. This is clearly true about issues of DST, but there is too
much myth on just about anything. I will go on in a further message
on DST, because people imagine reasons for DST that are not true, but
I now want to just say, question everything. What you do not know is
proven and how, is a belief that constitutes myth, and generally does
not have a basis in reality.

I have heard from some people, when I have mentioned that it creates
undesirable problems to have the switch back and forth with DST, that
say that it is completely necessary, one saying it is so because of
the Earth's orbit. Such uncritical thinking and lack of analysis of
what one believes or willingness to listen to counter-claims with
reasons for them, is evidence of people being given over belief in
myth. Some of these myths are extremely wide spread, this truth being
indeed worthy of something like a website or a blog devoted to
documenting this. Relevent to discussion for the group is the general
belief that changing to DST is of value to the farmers of the
country. The reality is that nothing could be further from the truth,
it hurts their business, and farmers generally very much dislike it.
As is true generally, there is a good number of myths, and false
assumptions, regarding a perceived need for the switch to and from
DST.
