I too am and evening/ night runner. I'm just in from my run now and this is one of the more timely ones! I started running a couple of months ago and got used to running in the dark as at that point it was dark when ever I ran after work. My route too takes me down some quiet roads and alongside a park. The best I can suggest safety-wise is to let your partner know your route and when to expect you back and to stick to areas with street lighting. Also, remember to try and wear something bright or reflective so you can be seen by cars and cheeky cyclists that sometimes are on the pavement.

I have been really surprised by how many other runners, dog walkers and couples are out walking in the evening, I can honestly say in nearly 3 months I have never once felt threatened by my situation. I have a friend who runs with a key between her fingers 'for self defence' but personally the constant reminder of 'danger' would make me feel more rather than less safe.

I go out running and walking the dog late at night. You sometimes just have to do it because it fits in with your schedule. Try it, you might find you like it better as there probably will be fewer folks about and less obstacles to encounter such as dogs, prams, mobility scooters etc etc. I did end up running down a very dark passageway once and I couldn't see where I was going. I won't be doing that again. I was only scared of running in dog poo rather than the thought that someone might attack me

However, much depends on your location. My feeling is that first thing in the morning is likely to work out better long term - not just safety but late night exercise is known to mess with sleep patterns and also if you feel too tired/your partner gets back late/whatever, you've missed the opportunity altogether for that day.

I am a night runner as well. I love the quiet. I used run on a school field, but found it was too abandoned for me to feel safe at night. I switched my route to a well-traveled, well-lit path next to the road. Contrary to popular thought, it helps me sleep better to run at night..maybe it's the way that all the anxiety and stress melts away during my run. I see folks walking their dogs, running, and traveling home from evening shift work. Maybe it's unwise, but I don't feel unsafe and I have never had an issue in the two years that I have been doing this path. I even run it during the dead of winter.

I run at night during the week. I don't get time when I get home from work to run before eating and then ideally like to leave it a couple of hours after before heading out on a run, so I don't go until after 10pm. Being a man and running around well lit streets of a small town I've never felt unsafe but as GoogleMe had eluded to I feel I've the right to do so and further, feel safe when I'm doing it (but then I am 6ft 4" and 100kg) and hopefully now thanks to c25k could probably outrun any undesirables anyway!

Nightrunners of Bengal is the title of the first novel by John Masters. It is a work of historical fiction set against the background of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. It was published in 1951 in the United Kingdom by Michael Joseph, London, and in the United States (also 1951) by the Viking Press, New York.[1]

The Deceivers is about Rodney's father, William, who suppresses the Thugee. William's butler, Sher Dil, also appears in Nightrunners of Bengal, now an old man, and working for Rodney. Piroo, an ex-Thug who was one of William's band in The Deceivers also appears in this book. He guides the English survivors to safety, amused at the irony that he is saving the son and grandson of the man who nearly had him hanged.

I bought Mordheim on the week of release in 1999, assembled some of the figures, played some quick test games, and then played 3rd ed 40k for years. I sold the Mordheim contents in 2000 to fund a night out, but kept the ninja ratmen, because ninja ratmen are just an appealing concept.

Frank Marwey was the leader of a military unit who all became Infected during the Fall. He decided that instead of being discharged, Frank and his squad would take inhibitors to enhance their abilities and stay out longer at night in order to help people. They were beloved by everyone and were instrumental in defeating Chris Williams during the Revolution.

The Nightrunners were a faction in the City who helped people in better days, even braving the dangers of the night. They eventually disappeared after a failed mission at the VNC Tower.[1] Hakon believed it was a suicide mission and led too many Nighrunners away so that Frank would not succeed in the mission. The Nightrunners had left behind many hideouts from their past lives, which are located all around the city. Depending on player choice, the player can bring back the Nightrunners as a key faction and get a better ending.

Nightrunner hideouts were checkpoints for nightrunners to hide out at during the night to keep safe from the dangers of the night. Nightrunner hideouts were mainly located in areas where the infected could not get to. Tents and busses are the two most common nightrunner hideouts. These hideouts were usually decked with UV lights to ward off any of the infected in the area, trying to creep their way closer to you. A sleeping bag is one of the provided items in these hideouts, used for letting the player sleep. A players stash is also sometimes provided in some, but not all hideouts. The hideouts are really only used by Aiden, as he is one of the only active nightrunners during the events of the game. Aiden is also able to use these hideouts during the day, allowing him to sleep which switches the time from day to night.

The nightrunners used many tools such as the Paraglider, Grappling Hook, Binoculars and UV Flashlight. All of which can be unlocked through story progression (mostly in the Central Loop) and can be upgraded to be more efficient and useful. These tools prove quite useful as Aiden travels through Villedor, helping him traverse difficult obstacles, the normal human could not get past.

The chief coordinates all activities and oversees the entire tribe, whereas each clan is headed by a master run- ner. Master runners function much like trade masters, overseeing all operations and directing the course of nego- tiations and the assignment of personnel. This tribe is considerably more organized than other elf tribes, partly
because of the attitudes and beliefs of their leader, and partly because of the nature of the work they undertake. Hukaas direction is a sound one, however, for to compete with the ancient Shadows, the Night Runners must stay focused and on an even course.

The Night Runners operate all over the Tyr region, but the tribe tends to concentrate its efforts to the east of the Windbreak Mountains. The tribe maintains a dagada in Gulg, small markets in Nibenay, Balic, and Raam, and has agents constantly on duty throughout the Ivory Trian- gle. Members of the New Moons clan can be found in all of the city-states and in many of the larger villages, watch- ing and listening for news to send back to the chief and the master runners. Like the Shadows tribe, the Night Runners tribe places its members into other tribes. These undercover elves serve as the eyes and ears of the Night Runners, and operate as contacts between the legendary tribe and potential contacts throughout the Tyr region. In most cases, the chief of the seeded tribes know of the undercover elves connections. They allow this deception to occur because of favors they owe the Night Run- nersor for favors they will receive at some future date.

Karnazes is a Greek-American from California. After turning his back on a promising running career when he was in college, he rediscovered the joy of running on the night of his 30th birthday. A premature midlife crisis perhaps as he realised he had been trapped by the corporate lifestyle and had lost touch with his inner self.
