Speakers are:
Brenda T. Fenton, Ph.D, M.Sc is a statistician at the VACHS Pain, Research, Informatics, Multimorbidities & Education (PRIME) Center and a lecturer at Yale School of Public Health in Epidemiology. She will discuss topics related to working with longitudinal data; Joint trajectory modelling, time-varying covariates and time-dependent effects, and potential confounding in cases lost over follow-up (not missing at random – “sick quitters”).
Karol Katz, MS, is retired as a Statistician at YCAS, the Yale Center for Analytical
Sciences, at the Yale School of Public Health and a past chairman of HASUG. Karol will present a macro for creating a concise, comprehensive Data Dictionary using SAS.
Barbara Moss is a programmer at The Hartford focused on providing claim loss data for actuarial analysis. Anna Flynn is a Senior Consultant MIS at The Hartford and has worked in healthcare, property and casualty, financial services and higher education in a broad range of Information Technology positions over the past 25 years. Their topic is “Delivering Quarterly Reporting Every Month - A Departure from the Traditional Calendar Definition, Using Formats.
Ali Hashmi is an consultant with Truven Health Analytics and dabbles in web design. Ali has undertaken the development of the new HASUG website and will give everyone a brief introduction. Everyone's feedback and participation on the site is much appreciated. Note: The new site will be live in time for the meeting, but until then online updates will be available in the old format.
