We were just made aware of this, the obit for Mark Warner's wife, Susan Hofer. Unfortunately, the funeral was this morning.

Susan L Hofer

Susan L. Hofer, of Malaga NJ was unexpectedly called home to the Lord at the age of 70 on July 31, 2024. Susan was born on September 19, 1953 to her predeceased parents Edward and Yolanda Gandy (nee Grillo) and raised in Clayton NJ with her two surviving brothers Edward (Marilyn) Gandy and Douglas (Deborah) Gandy. Susan met her first husband Kenneth Hofer (predeceased 2008) in 1970 and married in 1975. They enjoyed over 30 years of marriage and raising their girls, camping trips, trips to Cape May, visiting their favorite restaurants and hosting all holiday events. Susan was known for her strong Catholic faith and her overwhelming love for her family, friends, and church community. She was a devout member of St. Marys Church in Malaga (now known as Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish). In her younger years she enjoyed teaching CCD as well as substituting for Franklin Township Schools. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Some of her favorite activities were attending Mass, going on daily walks, gardening, and saying her daily Rosary and Divine Mercy. Ken and Sue are survived by four daughters, Stacy Cortese (John), Kristy DiDio (Paul), Kelly Loverdi (Joseph) and Whitney Miller (Scott). (all nee Hofer). She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Anthony, Jacelynn, Angelina, Emma, Carly, Cole, Alissa, Nina, and Joseph. Susan was also graced with her four great grandchildren, River, Rhys, Raelynn, and Angelo.

After Ken’s passing, Susan was blessed a second time with her amazing husband Mark Warner (our Marky and Pop Pop to many). They spent a beautiful sixteen years together raising their families. Some of their favorite activities together were going to yard sales, landscaping, daily walks, Ocean City trips (Mancos Pizza, Curly Fries, Johnsons Popcorn, Fudge), Christmas house tours, country line dancing, shopping at antique stores, no reason parties, bingo, and so much more.

Services were held at St. Mary’s Church in Malaga, NJ 08328 on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Visitation was held from 9:30AM - 11:30AM followed by Mass at 12PM. The burial was held, following Mass, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Newfield NJ 08344.
