Haskell platform GHC7.8.3 on MacOS 10.8.5

just updated haste via cabal install

I get an error message when running haste-boot:

haste-boot error: ld: unknown option: -ounlit collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Command 'gcc' fail

Sounds like an xcode thing?

I'll have a look, this does indeed sound like an XCode thing. In the meantime, try the Mac binary distribution from http://haste-lang.org/downloads/ - using the binaries over the source distribution is strongly recommended on non-Linux platforms.
