There are five recorded dialogues covering the most frequent conversation topics, texts to practise listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary is explained in definitions and illustrations, grammar is shown in student-friendly tables, and there are various exercises which can help students build their language competence.

The grammar in Kržom-kržom A1 (declension paradigms, the cases of the nominative, accusative, instrumental, and locative in the singular and plural, conjugation verb classes, and modal verbs) is explained in a simple way and has been adjusted to the communication approach of the textbook.

The essential parts of the book are its illustrations, tables, and photographs whose purpose is to help students visualise and learn new grammar, vocabulary, and phrases more easily and naturally. To make this edition up-to-date some recordings have been changed, and all the recordings are now available and can be found on the website uniba.sk/krizom-krazom.

To provide students with an opportunity to revise grammar and vocabulary and to practise their listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills, each unit also contains a revision section with various exercises and tasks. Different brainteasers, didactic games, and additional texts with more exercises have been added to the units to make learning even more stimulating and appealing. And not to forget, at the back of the textbook students can find a key to exercises, a Slovak- English glossary arranged according to units as well as in alphabetical order, and a grammar reference section.

The textbook includes 10 topic-based units introducing day-to-day situations in the lives of the four main characters of the course. All the units (except for Unit 1 and 10) have an identical structure that is easy-to-follow: 5 dialogues recorded on the CDs with new words explained by both definitions and illustrations and followed by reading comprehension exercises on dialogues.

Na konci každej lekcie s zaraden shrnn cvičenia, v ktorch sa upevňuj komunikačn zručnosti s drazom na počvanie a čtanie s porozumenm, ako aj na tvorenie jednoduchch stnych a psomnch prejavov. Prcu s učebnicou mžu spestriť sprievodn lohy, doplnkov texty s cvičeniami, hlavolamy či in didaktick hry, ktormi autorky chceli zatraktvniť vučbu aj samotn učenie sa slovenčiny ako cudzieho jazyka. Učebnica obsahuje kľč k cvičeniam, slovensko-anglick slovnček usporiadan podľa jednotlivch lekci aj abecedne a prehľadn gramatick tabuľky.

Original and richly illustrated textbook and a CD for the A2 level is the second wolume of the series of the Slovak language textbooks Kržom-kržom. The book includes 10 topic-based units introducing day-to-day situations. All the units have an identical structure that is easy-to-follow. Through the main characters of the textbook, you will find yourself studying, working, in the city or having fun. This purpose is followed also by a richly illustrated and didactically interpreted contents, which enables practice of individual communicational skills in accordance with the requirements of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF) for the A2 level (upper intermediate). New vocabulary and grammar are explained with a help of pictures. All the recordings are now available and can be found on the website uniba.sk/krizom-krazom.

Cvičebnica je modern učebn pomcka zostaven v duchu koncepcie Vzdelvacieho projektu Slovenčina ako cudz jazyk pre zkladn stupeň A. Slži na rozvjanie štandardnch komunikatvnych zručnost so zreteľom na porozumenie textu i tvorenie jednoduchch jazykovch prejavov. Jednotliv lekcie nadvzuj na obsah učebnc a precvičuj ho v 20 lekcich, ktor maj rovnak nzov ako v učebniciach pre stupeň A1 a A2. Cvičebnica obsahuje viac ako 450 cvičen, ktor s určen na ncvik a fixovanie prezentovanho učiva so zreteľom na upevňovanie a rozširovanie lexiklnej zsoby a jej použvanie v bežnch komunikačnch situcich, ale aj na precvičovanie zkladnch gramatickch znalost slovenčiny. Počet cvičen v jednotlivch lekcich zvis od typu a nročnosti preberanho učiva, ako aj od lexiklneho potencilu tmy. Cvičenia a dialgy s spracovan modelovo a zroveň veľmi kreatvne s využitm ilustrci a obrzkov, ktor s funkčn a podporuj receptvne aj produktvne osvojovanie jazyka. This Workbook is a modern learning tool composed in accordance with the concept of the Slovak as a Foreign Language for Elementary Level A Educational Project. It develops standard communication skills, reading comprehension, and building of simple sentence structures. The individual lessons are related to the contents of the Textbooks: the 20 lessons are given titles identical with the lessons in the Textbooks for levels A1 and A2. The Workbook consists of a total of 450 exercises for the practice and retaining of the presented content focusing on the mastering and expanding of vocabulary and its usage in everyday situations as well as on the practice of elementary Slovak grammar. The number of exercises in individual lessons depends on the type and degree of difficulty of the study material as well as on the lexical potential of the topic. The exercises and the dialogues are presented in models with the creative and targeted application of illustrations, which support the receptive and productive mastering of the foreign language. Thanks to its structure, the Workbook is suited for working with groups of students under teacher supervision. In addition, it provides numerous exercises and specific tasks for individual study, practice, and automatic utilization of the studied areas. The book can also be used selectively based on the learning objectives and needs of the individual user.

Kržom-kržom. Slovenčina B1 je ďalšou zo srie učebnc Kržom-kržom určen pre mierne pokročilch študentov. Každ lekciu tvoria ozvučen dialgy reflektujce aktulne tmy spoločenskho života s drazom na modely použvan v bežnej komunikcii. Obsah lekcie je doplnen sprievodnmi textami slžiacimi ako vchodisko na prezentciu a ncvik jednotlivch zručnost. Rozširovanie a upevňovanie prslušnej lexiky sbežne s gramatickm učivom m podnietiť zujem o cieľavedom rozvjanie vlastnej komunikatvnej kompetencie. Jednotliv tmy s prezentovan konfrontačne, nabdaj k hľadaniu a odkrvaniu svislost a pomhaj učiacim jazykovo primerane vyjadriť vlastn nzor. Kržom-kržom B1 is the third volume of the Slovak language textbooks series Kržom-kržom. In each unit there are dialogues which are recorded on the CDs and which reflect current social issues. They are followed by texts covering the same issues and give you an opportunity to practise all four skills and to express your opinion on those topics as they are usually presented in a confrontational way. New words are explained by both their synonyms and explanations as well as illustrations, schemes and word groups that make them easier to learn and remember. They are practised in vocabulary and word formation exercises. There are also phrases and idioms mentioned in the units which you can learn and use to enrich your vocabulary in discussions. The grammar sections of the book were adjusted to the topics of the units and cover grammar phenomena on the B1 level, namely plural forms of nouns, adjectives and pronouns, use of prepositions (their division into groups, meaning, function), verbs (aspect, reflexive verbs), the most frequent conjunctions and particles as well as some aspects of the sentence structure, especially word order. Each unit contains comprehensive exercises practising reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. Various exercises, texts, idioms, photo stories and cartoons were also added to the units to make the book even more interesting and increasingly challenging for the students.

Učebnica Kržom-kržom. Slovenčina B2 je určen stredne pokročilm študentom. Predstavuje atraktvnu cestu, ako zvldnuť štandardn i špecifick komunikačn situcie, ako ďalej rozvjať receptvne aj produktvne rečov zručnosti a prehlbovať znalosti slovenskch reli. Učebnica obsahuje 10 lekci s metodicky premyslenou jednotnou štruktrou. Vnimkou je iba 10. lekcia, ktor je koncipovan ako brožrka s množstvom informci o jednotlivch reginoch Slovenska. Každ lekciu tvoria ozvučen dialgy reflektujce aktulne tmy spoločenskho života s drazom na modely použvan v bežnej praxi, ale aj typick situcie v odbornej či profesijnej sfre. Obsah lekcie je doplnen sprievodnmi textami slžiacimi ako vchodisko na prezentciu a ncvik komunikačnch zručnost. Rozširovanie a upevňovanie prslušnej lexiky sbežne s gramatickm učivom m podnietiť použvateľov učebnice na cieľavedom budovanie a rozvjanie vlastnej komunikačnej kompetencie. V každej lekcii s zastpen reprezentatvne lexiklne a slovotvorn cvičenia.
