High Water Photos

HRP Bird Banding

to Hassayampa River Preserve
I hope we can get some high water photos. I recall in Nov 2007 when we
had flooding (almost up to the Kiosk) I only tooks a couple photos.
When the river runs slow and its mid-summer, it is often difficult to
imagine how firece this river can get!

The river peaked about midnite last night- I'll have photos of where
it's at currently along with where it was... I think all our bridges and
all your net posts are history- the high ground they were on is
seemingly gone...film at 11:00

Marty is putting together before, during and after pics and will post
them. It's amazing how powerful the water can be. We had people come in
with kayaks today. They thought this would be a good place to start
their whitewater adventure!
