Position available: Postdoc in the Natural Language Processing Group at CMU-Qatar

A position for a Postdoc is available at Carnegie Mellon University-Qatar (CMU-Q) to support a project funded by the Qatar National Research Fund. The project, Multi-Arabic Dialect Applications and Resources (MADAR), aims at developing robust NLP technologies to handle a number of Arabic Dialects. The project is a collaboration between CMU-Q, NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) and Columbia University.

The postdoc position requires a PhD degree in Computer Science with expertise in Natural Language Processing / Computational Linguistics. Experience in multilingual processing, statistical machine translation, machine learning is a bonus. Native or near native proficiency in Arabic is strongly desired.

The position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and background, foreign service allowance, excellent health care coverage and allowances for housing and transportation.
