Too good not to share: I simply can't believe I wasn't using this earlier. The app "Birdnet" -- free from Cornell Lab of Ornithology, eBird, and others -- is the BEST app for identifying birds by sound. I used it with a small group of friends this past weekend and it is amazing how it helps. Those clever little kinglets were fooling our experts but BirdNet helped school us! And so many warbler variations -- this app is really helpful. I'm getting much better at the vireos.
