Hi,

I have added a source cache mirror for hashdist at http://fenicsproject.org/pub/hashdist/src/ in ~/.hashdist/config.yaml and it turns out that if a source is not available in the source cache mirror, then hashdist will fail to download the source. I was expecting it to first try to download from the source cache mirror and then try the original URL if it fails. Is this a bug or is it supposed to be like this? Any thoughts?

I will check some of my source caches. I thought it  had  been printing an error but continuing to the original url if it was not available.

I thin there are situations where you don't want HashDist to seek remote URLs, but that should be orthogonal to whether a remote source cache is available.  I'd file this as a bug against HashDist.

Thank you both. I have filed a bug report here: https://github.com/hashdist/hashdist/issues/353
