Hi Everyone - I’m going to be hosting a work party at Greenstone tomorrow (Saturday) from 9am to 11am. You’re all invited to show up in your finest work party clothing - whatever is comfortable. Be aware that there are ticks around. Poison ivy shouldn’t be an issue unless you get off the trails. Bug spray is certainly recommended. Temps should be from the upper 60’s to low 70’s.

What we’re doing - this party is to trim back the sides of the trails which have been busy growing inward! Most of the trimming can be done with hand clippers or a power hedge trimmer if you have one. I’ll be bringing my electric hedge clipper. I’m planning to use the mower to chop up what falls on the trail rather than take the time to pick it up and find a place to throw it, although you’re welcome to do that if you want. I started on the entrances and the Old Farm Road already, but all the trails in the north side over the bridge really need to be done.

You don’t have to let me know if you’re coming, but it would help to let me know if I’ll be working by myself or have some company! :-)

If you’ve never been before - Here are the directions.

Greenstone Hollow is at the north end of East Granby on Ridge Blvd, just off of Rt. 187.

The address is 31 Ridge Blvd and if you type Greenstone Hollow into Google Maps, it will come up as a destination.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

Hi Chris,
Unfortunately, Rich and I have plans for tomorrow and will be unable to help with the work party.
