Hi All,
Now that Summer is finally here, we have so many projects happening in the district. So help us spread the word to your neighbors and be sure to come out for the activities.
Various greening projects are happening. We have placed almost 50 new trees in the district. We have some great volunteers that are helping to water the trees, so if you have some new trees in your block be sure to keep an eye out on them and give them some love with some water, especially in this heat.
The Harwood Community Association is looking for new volunteers to get involved. So if you are interested email us at saf...@charlesvillage.org Volunteers are also needed for the 26ers Park work day on July 7th at 10 AM- 1 PM. So if you can spare some time be sure to come out and help us make the park look great!
Spread the word, with the heat index and temperatures, that means our sanitation staff is out in the district early 6 AM.
Learn preventative measures in dealing with the prostitution issue here in the community hosted by the Prostitution task force the meeting will be at the Benefits District office tonight at 6:00 PM. Please RSVP to slg...@cs.com or saf...@charlesvillage.org
National Night Out is quickly approaching and we have some fantastic activities planned for this year at both 2700 Maryland Ave and The Calvert Street Park! Save the Date, August 7th 6-8:30 PM
Did you know that turning on your porch light at night acts as a crime deterrent. Turning on your porch light can help keep criminals away.
