HI Amanda: I am forwarding your proposal to our Hrwood Google Group as a way to inform others about this beautification project.  It sounds Great. I will discuss Harwood's financial support with the other officers and get back with you.  Our April meeting has been canceled because the school is on spring break and the rec will be closing early.

Subject: Proposed Flower Planting on Saturday 21 April on the 400 Block of Whitridge

Hello Myron,

I am the owner of 433 Whitridge.  I would like to donate the plants and
flowers to enable the 400 block of Whitridge to plant the tree wells in
the spirit of the Mayor's Spring Clean-up on 21 April.  I would have
liked to present this idea at the upcoming Harwood Association Meeting
on April 2nd but I've already committed to attending a rally for
offshore wind in Annapolis that evening.

I have been speaking with Allison Wilhite, one of the AmeriCorps Vista
community organizers for guidance.  I would love to get as many people
on the block and in the community, especially kids, involved as
possible.  Would the Harwood Association support this effort in terms of
volunteers and spreading the word?  Would you bring this matter up at
the meeting on the 2nd?

Would the Association also be interested in proving coffee, orange juice
and some sort of breakfast item for the event to be more festive?
Allison is looking into the tool bank at Barclay Elementary/Rec Center
for garden spades and gloves.  We will also need a few bags of garden
soil.

I think the Association's involvement is really key to making this event
successful.  Please let me know your thoughts and suggestion on the
matter.

Thank you,
Amanda Ruthven
