Let's meet up and talk next week!!!

hey everybody,
                         So I know i generally been pretty out of it. But i was thinking that we all have been trying to get together for a while. And now in particular with the rise in hate crimes and stuff alot of us have been pissed off in the community. There have been some great responses to the hate crimes throughout the city from die-ins, to vigils, to marches (one of which kris and i helped to organize against fox on saturday woo hoo lol).  So i was thinking we should get together to discuss more about what has been going on; also with obamas defense of doma and defense of don't ask don't tell. I was thinking in particular we could get together to discuss some of what is behind the rise in hate crimes but also whats going on with obama and the elections and stuff like that.

I also think we could take the time to discuss more what we want to do in the future; as alot of us have been pulled away from the group. Maybe we want to meet monthly, or been involved in campaigns or events thate are coming up or happening rather than initiating something. Anywayz I thought we should  get together and discuss some of this.

I also think itd be good to send this get together (if anyone is down for it) to some of the  emails we collected for the march and other events in case anyone whose email we got has been pissed off about these hate crimes, paladino, or obama's recent betrayal and wants to get back involved. (who ended up taking the emails by the way...did we ever make a list serve or who collected them?

Anywayz here are some ideas i had. Let me know if your down and rsvp please.
I was thinking tuesday either at the center (we could order pizza) or if we wanted to do a restaurant or like a big public location outdoors or something and then see who shows up and get food.

Hi Frankie,

Thanks for sending this out. I think it would be a great idea for all of us to get together; particularly since it's been a while since we've checked in with each other, and to do it before the holiday onslaught would be great. There is a lot going on, and I'm all for getting people's thoughts on the hate crimes and other stuff you mentioned.

So, I'm in for Tuesday! That would be election day, November 2nd. My preference would be to get some alcohol and a little bit of food, but that's just me. I'm down for anything, so whatever we do, I'm in for Tuesday. Unless it's bungee jumping or bug collecting. Either one of those will render me absent!

I like Mikado, Kristina's favortie sushi spot on 6th & 14th, but can go for pretty much anything, especially if it includes some red wine. I need a drink. The past couple of weeks have been HELL! That's my dos centavos.

FYI - sometimes the bookstore can accommodate a small group (depending upon already scheduled events). we have a small cafe in the back with coffee and snacks!!!
election day we will be streaming election results and is an option - just let me know so i can have a table reserved for ....X... number of people.
