Hey luis while im certainly support ending dadt which prescribes
inequality and discrimination. I also wouldnt encourage
anyone...straight or gay from joining the military. If you havent
taken a look at the wikileaks releases you should. It exposes for
those who didnt know that the us government is waging war for profit ,
torturing people, and supporting the overthrow in democracies across
the world. All for more power and controlling resources...and the
soldiers are simply cannonfodder or bodies they use to do that; who
are never asked if they want to go to war or not and have no say in
it. If we support equal rights for lgbt people we should also oppose
the oppression of people in countries like iraq and afghanistan and
pakistan who are being occupied, controlled, and bombed by our
government.

They are really not thinking about what we wanna do for the country nor for those who are willing to give there life away. It should be a honor that a gay male/female want to join. Society thinks all gay males dont wanna join the military and that lesbian wants to join. There is just one big destructiveness in our government that we as gay/straight, male/female that needs to put our foot down and act up.
