clarification on template weapons and cover saves

Basically, unless you have a weapon that specifically states that it
seeks out the target and ignores cover of all kinds, any cover you are
IN such as smoke, trees, or a displacement field, still grant you
cover from a weapon that says it ignores cover you are BEHIND.

Let me clarify.
If the template weapon is direct fire, then you still get the cover
bonus from being behind trees because you have to shoot through the
trees to hit the unit. If, however, half the unit is hiding behind a
building, they don't get a cover save from templates.
If it is barrage, it shoots OVER stuff, even trees, but if you are IN
some kind of surrounding cover, you get a save even from barrage.
Buildings don't count as that kind of cover.
