I live in Lanzhou, out west in Gansu Province.  I'm not at all close to Shenzhen, but my city is a pretty nice place to visit in spring and summer.  It's very different from where most of you live!

I'm in Beijing; hooray!! I often wonder how many of us are scattered throughout the city in small cloisters of Mandarin study and part-time labor...

is no one else really in shanghai? and i wasnt even aware that there was a list/i was on it... but cool! would love to catch up with any harvard 09ers obviously... im guessing there are people coming for the expo? no?? they are talking it up quite a bit on cctv, so my perspective might be skewed, but its supposed to be a bfd i guess... let me know, id love to show any of you around the city. crazy place!

Well I forgot this list existed, but it's excellent timing for it to get active.  Starting next week, I'll be traveling all over the continent for most of the rest of the year.  So I will probably call on many of you at some point. 
Also, if anyone is planning on traveling in East or Southeast Asia anytime this year, let me know your plans and we might be able to meet up!
