Hi teams,

Please see attached for the REVISED safety inspection sheet. The revisions specifically apply to EXPLORER class teams – see below.

Good luck!

Jill

Explorer Class Companies,

1. Your wellhead cap will need to be part of the safety inspection process. It will be inspected to verify that it meets the MATE specifications and that it does not pose any safety risks to the divers as they demobilize it from the wellhead. Be sure and bring it to the safety inspection along with any documentation that will help provide an understanding to how it operates and disengages.

1. Be sure and bring your Demobilization Instructions for the divers. In case you missed it, here is the section from the specification where this is discussed

From Page 8 of the Mission Tasks Final

EXPLORER class demobilization instructions:
Your company must provide a set of clear, step‐by‐step instructions for the competition support divers on how to remove your cap from the wellhead. These instructions must be in a minimum of 18 point Ariel Bold Font. Diagrams may be included if they increase the clarity. This instruction sheet must be laminated so that if necessary, the divers can take it into the water. You should hand the instructions to the mission judge during the 5‐minute set‐up time. The instructions will be returned to you when your cap is returned.
Companies not providing a demobilization instruction sheet will receive a 10 point deduction.

Thank you and Good Luck,

The Safety Judges
