Answers to some of your questions -
- If you have not mailed your reception and banquet ticket (for parents, siblings, and others traveling with the team) payment to the MATE Center office, bring it with you to Houston. Be prepared to turn it in at team check-in.
- If you have NOT paid your $50 participation fee, please do so immediately. If you are paying by check or cash, bring your payment with you to Houston and turn it in at team check-in. No payment = no participation.
- The opening ceremonies at the NBL will be held 9:00-11:00am on Thursday, June 16th. There will be ~600 chairs. Participants have priority! So do judges and volunteers. Parents, siblings, and other traveling with the team are welcome to attend, but may need to stand.
Some important reminders -
- If you are shipping your ROV to the NBL, it must arrive no later than June 13th. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that it will be waiting for you on Thursday.
- If you are transporting your ROV to the NBL, you will have the opportunity to off-load it AFTER the opening ceremony on Thursday. DO NOT bring your vehicle into the NBL for the opening ceremony. Someone will direct you to the doors of the LMF (light manufacturing facility where your workstations will be located) once the opening ceremony is completed.
- Closed-toed shoes and safety glasses are required in the LMF at all times. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please plan accordingly. Do not ship your safety glasses with your ROV and/or tool kit. Make sure to have your safety glasses with you.
