Dear Residents,
Over the past several weeks we have had several residents complain about children of all ages riding their bicycles absent parent supervision on the road running through the community. This is particularly dangerous around the turn at Cambridge and around the bend by the retention basin on Berkshire where there is lower straight line visibility. The roads are not meant to be used for riding bicycles due to the obvious risks associated.

While the board can encourage all residents to be watchful, there are numerous visitors and delivery trucks that drive through the community. We never want to get into any possible scenario of a child being endangered due to a car related incident, we had two close calls recently.

I request all residents to please refrain from allowing children to ride their bicycles on the road.

Thank you
On Behalf of the HOA Board

Hi,

In the past few weeks I and my husband encountered few incidents with the below issue .
We faced a scenario when we were driving and the kid threw the bicycle from drive way to the street, which would have damaged our car.
we noticed several times parents are busy with the phone or group of people talking in the parking lot leaving the kids on the street.

It is not only kids will be endangered if any incident takes place, equally the person who is driving the car will be associated under risk.
Am sure active streets are not meant for bicycling when the tot lots are available in both the phases.
Please take this matter in high priority and request to take the safety measures to avoid any major incidents.

Thanks,
Vijaya
