Good morning all,

Occasionally I have a need to do a simple edit to a pdf document.  Can
anyone recommend a viable program to perform these simple edits?  All
recommendations appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

  • LibreOffice Draw:

    • Included in most Linux distributions, LibreOffice Draw allows you to open and edit PDF files by treating them as an image document.
  • PDFsam (PDF Split and Merge):

    • A basic tool for splitting, merging, rotating, and mixing PDF documents. It also has a paid version for advanced features, but the free version is quite functional.
  • Okular:

    • A versatile document viewer for KDE that supports annotations, highlighting, and adding comments to PDFs. It doesn’t allow full editing but is great for small modifications and markups.
  • Inkscape:

    • A powerful vector graphics editor that can open and edit PDFs one page at a time. It’s particularly useful if you need to edit the graphical content of a PDF.
  • PDF Arranger:

    • A simple GUI application for merging, splitting, rotating, and rearranging PDF documents.
  • Master PDF Editor (Free version):

    • A more feature-rich PDF editor. The free version allows basic editing like text modification, but the full functionality is limited to the paid version.
